Hey Fellow Anglers,
Two weeks ago the state lifted the “hoot owl ban” on The Clark Fork, Bitterroot and Blackfoot Rivers. Since then the fishing has basically been great on The Clark Fork and Blackfoot and fair to good on the Bitterroot. We are now getting much cooler weather too. Fall is very much in the air. We are using a variety of hopper patterns on the Clark Fork and Blackfoot and are using more may fly patterns to catch the Bitterroot fish. Although most of August was in the “hoot owl” period we still managed to get 6 to 7 hours of great fishing each day.

We still have openings in September and October! Many of our guides are catching 20 to 50 fish per day depending on skill level and weather conditions. The large October caddis are already starting to appear, and we are excited about using our special patterns to catch fish in the 15 to 20 inch range. We hope to hear from you soon.
